SmackDown airs tonight (Nov. 29) with a taped show (spoilers here) emanating from Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is the final episode of SmackDown during the four week build towards Survivor Series, which takes place on Saturday (Nov. 30).

The ending of last week’s SmackDown was incredible, with The Wiseman Paul Heyman making his surprise return to introduce CM Punk as the fifth member of the OG Bloodline at War Games. The OG Bloodline now looks unstoppable on paper, but that’s only if Roman Reigns and CM Punk can get along. On this week’s Raw, Sami Uso said he didn’t know if Punk can be trusted, but he heard that Roman and Punk will sit down for a little one-on-one chat tonight on SmackDown. This sounds like the sort of segment that might take place off camera, inside Roman’s office. When CM and Roman have their talk, Punk can make his motivations clear for why he wants to help the OG Bloodline win at War Games when just about everyone else rejected the idea of teaming up with Roman Reigns. It may be as simple as Punk doing it out of loyalty to Heyman, but Punk is a complicated guy, so there could be more to the story here.

It was also revealed that Jey Uso vs. Jacob Fatu is booked tonight in a War Games advantage match. Earlier this week I was a big dummy when I suggested that Bianca Belair couldn’t win her War Games advantage match against Nia Jax. So, have I learned from my mistake? Not at all! In fact, I am going to double down on that argument here. War Games works much better when the heels have the advantage. Now that the women’s babyface team has the advantage at War Games, I’m even more certain that Uso is in big trouble and has to lose this match, because there’s no way that both War Games matches at Survivor Series will give the babyfaces the advantage. Maybe that just means I’m going to look like an even bigger dummy tonight when Jey hits that Uso splash from the top rope for the winning three count. Either way, make sure to tune into SmackDown tonight to see what goes down when Punk and Reigns have their little chat, and to find out which men’s team will have the advantage at War Games.

The first round of the Women’s United States Championship tournament continues tonight with a 3-way match between Michin, Piper Niven, and a mystery wrestler. Michin and Piper aren’t top stars on the SmackDown roster, so the mystery person probably has a decent chance to win. Then again, Michin is currently enjoying the biggest push of her WWE career after last month’s Dumpster match victory over Chelsea Green. Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes lost his cool last week when Kevin Owens blamed him for all of his recent heinous actions. Cody spent the rest of the segment yelling at KO, accusing him of self-sabotage, and making the claim that Kevin Owens hates himself. Carmelo Hayes decided to trash talk Cody backstage afterwards, so Cody yelled at him too before a shoving match broke out. Cody and Carmelo will now fight about it in a singles match tonight.

A mystery person attacked Jade Cargill backstage last week, so Rhea Ripley’s team needs to replace her at War Games. There was a lot of in-fighting on Raw about who to add to the team. United States Champion LA Knight has his hands full with the return of Shinsuke Nakamura. Knight should probably do what he does best, and that’s cut a promo on this guy ahead of their title match tomorrow at Survivor Series. Elektra Lopez, Tiffany Stratton, and Naomi are set to square off in a future first round match of the Women’s United States Championship tournament. Tommaso Ciampa dropped the ball last week when he was pinned by Montez Ford in a singles match.
