At Final Resolution, global phenomenon Joe Hendry triumphed over Josh Alexander, Mike Santana and Steve Maclin in a 4-Way #1 Contenders match to earn another shot at the TNA World Championship. Meanwhile, Nic Nemeth defeated A.J. Francis of Fir$t Cla$$, marking another successful defense of his TNA World Title. Now Hendry and Nemeth are once again on a collision course, as they will meet with the TNA World Championship on the line at Genesis LIVE January 19 on pay-per-view from the Curtis Culwell Center in Dallas, Texas! Their first encounter at Bound For Glory was riddled in controversy following the involvement of John Layfield. One thing is for certain, Joe Hendry BELIEVES that he can become the TNA World Champion.
Masha Slamovich and Rosemary take their feud to extreme levels in this chaotic stipulation match. With the Knockouts Championship on the line, Masha is looking to put down Rosemary once and for all. Considering Masha’s absolute dominance since winning the Knockouts Title, fans are looking forward to the match in a big way. The Hardys continue their solid run as the TNA Tag Team Champions as they defend their titles against The Rascalz, one of the most exciting teams in the company. Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz are determined to prove they are better than Matt and Jeff Hardy, so we’ll have to see who will come out on top in the end. Moose puts his X-Division Championship on the line against Ace Austin, in what is expected to be a great match between two of the best in-ring competitors the company has to offer. Therefore, fans are excited to see who will prevail in the bout once and for all. Spitfire will defend their Knockouts Tag Team Championships against Ash and Heather By Elegance. Jody Threat and Dani Luna have been booked strongly as the champions for quite a while now, so it’ll be interesting to see if they can topple Ash and Heather By Elegance and continue their solid run as the champions.
Nic Nemeth will defend his TNA World Championship against Joe Hendry in the main event of the Genesis pay-per-view. After Hendry earned his No. 1 contender spot at Final Resolution, tensions between the two reached a boiling point on iMPACT when Ryan Nemeth’s interference led to Hendry being laid out by a Superkick. This might be Hendry’s last chance at winning the TNA World Title, so fans are definitely rooting for him to become the TNA World Champion after months of hard work. Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers of The System will be facing off against Steve Maclin & Eric Young in a tag team match at Genesis. Tensions are at an all-time high between the two teams, so fans are curious to see who will be victorious at the event. Frankie Kazarian squares off against rising star Leon Slater in a match as part of the pre-show at Genesis. They have been feuding for a while now and fans can expect a solid match between them.
