UFC Fight Night: Burns vs. Brady 9/7/24

UFC returns to UFC APEX with a compelling welterweight main event as No. 6 ranked contender Gilbert Burns and No. 8 ranked Sean Brady collide with the intent of breaking into the Top 5. Also on the card, former UFC strawweight champion and No. 6 ranked flyweight contender Jéssica Andrade takes on No. 8 ranked Natalia Silva. UFC FIGHT NIGHT: BURNS vs BRADY takes place Saturday, September 7 in Las Vegas. The entire event will stream on ESPN+ (English and Spanish) beginning with the prelims at 4pm ET / 1pm PT, followed by the main card at 7pm ET / 4pm PT. The Brazilian athlete is a versatile fighter – he feels good in the stand-up and also has excellent grappling skills. Gilbert holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Burns began his professional career in 2012 in the Crown Fighting Championships organization. With a record of 7-0, which Gilbert achieved while competing in local promotions, "Durinho" was signed to the UFC. Initially, things did not go well for the Brazilian in the UFC; he alternated between wins and losses. However, at the end of 2018, Burns hit his best form. He went on a six-fight winning streak and even earned a shot at the championship fight. In it, Burns lost to Kamaru Usman by technical knockout. Currently, Gilbert is not as dangerous as he once was.
