Raw airs today (Mar. 24) with a live show from OVO Hydro arena in Glasgow, Scotland. This is the fourth episode of Raw during the seven week build towards WrestleMania 41, which takes place on the weekend of April 19 and 20. Today’s show will be broadcast live on Netflix at 4 pm ET, so it’s more like Monday Afternoon Raw for viewers in the United States.
Jey Uso is teaming up with a mystery partner today on Raw to take on the duo of Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. The strange thing about this match is that Jey clearly doesn’t need any help to beat A-Town Down Under. He squashed Theory like a dweeb with one move last week, after beating Waller in a singles match the week before. It’s just overkill now that Jey is allowed to have more firepower on his side against these jabroni wrestlers. The usual suspects for Jey’s mystery partner might be Jimmy Uso, Sami Zayn, or Otis. However, because Uso doesn’t really need their help, he should instead think outside the box and choose a partner that will get the biggest pop from the live audience in Glasgow, Scotland.
Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker puts the gold on the line today against Penta. Both stars are coming off big wins on last week’s episode. Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria defends her belt against WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Raquel Rodriguez. There could very well be a title change here if WWE is looking to boost the tag champs while also potentially taking the IC title off the board for WrestleMania. Dragon Lee vs. Chad Gable is booked on today’s show. WWE Champion Cody Rhodes & heel John Cena are both “under one roof” again on Raw, to presumably continue with the next 30 minutes of the conversation they started last week.
Hendry is on very good terms with WWE, having competed in this year’s Royal Rumble match and recently being announced for an appearance at WWE World during WrestleMania week. It makes all the sense in the world for a special appearance from Hendry while Raw is in Scotland, and helping Jey destroy these two low carders is one obvious way to do it. For whatever it’s worth, Hendry says he wants to fight John Cena during his retirement tour, so maybe Joe can cross paths with that whiny bitch too if he is indeed the mystery man.
