Raw airs tonight (Apr. 14) with a live show from Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. This is the final episode of Raw during the seven week build towards WrestleMania 41, which takes place this weekend (April 19 & 20) in Las Vegas.
Over the last few weeks, Karrion Kross has taken great interest in the fact that AJ Styles is fighting a YouTube douchebag at WrestleMania 41. At first it seemed like Kross was just trying to stir shit up whenever he got in AJ’s ears about it backstage, but last week was a little bit different. Kross told AJ that if he loses against Logan Paul at WrestleMania, then we all lose. It’s hard to argue against that logic. Karrion made an appeal for AJ to be more vicious and cutthroat heading into ‘Mania, but he may have bit off more than he can chew, because now it will be Styles vs. Kross on tonight’s Raw. Karrion is essentially in the role of a tune-up opponent for Styles before he fights the real threat (I guess?) at WrestleMania.
A random person on the street recently asked me if Karrion Kross is getting over in WWE, and I didn’t really know how to answer that question. Kross has not wrestled a match on Raw in over four months, and has only competed in one Raw match over the last seven months. It’s hard to tell if someone is over when they rarely perform in the ring in front of live fans. That changes tonight for Kross, so let’s see how he plans to maximize his minutes during his first Raw match of 2025. WWE is also advertising an appearance from Logan Paul on Raw, so it’s certainly possible that he will get involved in this match to attack Styles one more time before ‘Mania. Bayley & Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria won a gauntlet match and will challenge WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Raquel Rodriguez & Liv Morgan at WrestleMania 41. Bayley vs. Morgan is booked for tonight in singles action to whet the appetite for what’s to come in Vegas. John Cena and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes are not currently advertised for Raw, but fret not wrestling fans, because fellow WrestleMania 41 main eventers Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins will all be in the building tonight. Paul Heyman is also scheduled for Raw. Adam Pearce isn’t very good at his job, so Rhea Ripley was officially added to the women’s world championship match between IYO SKY and Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 41. I assume more violence is on the way when these three women cross paths tonight.
