SmackDown airs tonight (Nov. 1) with a taped show (spoilers are here) emanating from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. This is the final episode of SmackDown during the four week build towards Crown Jewel, which takes place on Saturday (Nov. 2).

Jimmy and Jey Uso reunited last week on SmackDown, just a few days after The Bloodline screwed Jey out of the Intercontinental title on Raw. Roman Reigns stood at the entrance ramp and watched at a distance as Jimmy and Jey hugged. This happened after they all crashed the main event to cost The Bloodline the WWE tag team championship. The closing scene was a reminder that there are still major problems between Roman and Jey. Roman manipulated and abused Jey for years while pulling out all the stops to maintain his spot as the top guy in WWE. Jey has since broken out on his own and will not go back to a subservient role with respect to Reigns.

After the way things played out last week, Roman and The Usos are now booked in a six-man tag team match at Crown Jewel against Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu. The babyfaces will be at a big disadvantage if they don’t get on the same page before competing in Saudi Arabia, so Roman and Jey will have to find time tonight to hash things out. It was two weeks ago when Roman acknowledged Solo Sikoa in the middle of the ring, in an attempt to reconcile the family division. Tune into SmackDown to find out if Roman and Jey can have their own special moment tonight.

Tonight’s main event is Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton vs. World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER & Ludwig Kaiser. A four-way match of Bianca Belair vs. Lash Legend vs. IYO SKY vs. Piper Niven is also booked for tonight. This is something of a Crown Jewel preview, where the four teams represented here will fight over the WWE women’s tag team championship. Someone not named Bianca Belair should probably win this match to create uncertainty about the almost certain outcome of the champs retaining in Saudi Arabia. Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan will appear on SmackDown for a face-to-face confrontation with WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax.
