SmackDown airs tonight (June 21) with a live show emanating from Allstate Arena near Chicago, Illinois. This is the first episode of SmackDown during the three week build towards Money in the Bank, which takes place on July 6 in Toronto.

Raw star CM Punk is at the center of attention in WWE again after he crashed the main event of Clash at the Castle to screw over Drew McIntyre in his home country. Now it’s Punk’s turn to come back home to Chicago for SmackDown, where he hopes to deliver the good news that he is medically cleared. The best case scenario has played out for Punk here, as McIntyre reacted to the screwjob by quitting WWE. That means Punk never has to deal with him again, and can instead focus on proving why he is still the best in the world.

The truth of the matter is that McIntyre will definitely be back at some point to get his revenge on this bastard. Hell, maybe he’ll even come back tonight to humiliate Punk in his hometown and challenge him to a match at SummerSlam. If Drew is a patient man, he’ll strike when it hurts Punk the most, and return the favor by screwing CM over in a high stakes match against a hated rival like Seth Rollins. It’s all sunshine and rainbows for Punk until that happens, especially if he has good news to announce about his health tonight. He may even celebrate the good news by hitting a mid or low card heel with the GTS. Let’s just hope that his brittle body doesn’t immediately fall apart if he does get physical tonight.
