Raw airs tonight (Mar. 10) with a live show from Madison Square Garden in New York City. This is the second episode of Raw during the seven week build towards WrestleMania 41, which takes place on the weekend of April 19 and 20.
There have already been some major twists and turns on the road to WrestleMania this month, and the rumor mill indicates more are on the way that will change the WrestleMania card. It started when John Cena shockingly turned heel at Elimination Chamber, and WWE followed that up with Rhea Ripley’s improbable loss of the women’s world championship to IYO SKY. Tonight’s main event is CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins in a steel cage, and if I was a betting man, I’d guess that WWE has one of these big surprises planned for the finish. At the very least, I don’t expect a clean ending to this match, despite the fact that the steel cage is in theory supposed to keep away outside interference. CM readily admitted last week that everyone in WWE is his enemy, so there’s no telling who might try to screw him over during tonight’s match. As for Seth Rollins, he still has a receipt coming his way for that brutal double stomp on Roman Reigns that put him on the injured list at Royal Rumble. Hell, maybe this is the perfect time for both Becky Lynch and AJ Lee to make a surprise return to WWE to come get their men and thrown down.
Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee have challenged New Day to a tornado tag team match tonight, which essentially means all four men are legal at all times and anything goes. If Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston can find a way to cheat the babyfaces out of a win. Jey Uso vs. Grayson Waller is also booked on tonight’s show. Waller is a jabroni who doesn’t stand much of a chance against Jey in a fair fight, but Uso might be walking into a trap designed by World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER. For what it’s worth, Waller’s tag team partner Austin Theory seems to really enjoy Yeeting, so maybe he and Waller will break up over it. Finally, AJ Styles plans to call out Logan Paul tonight at MSG. The YouTube douchebag has had a full week to prepare for this moment, so I assume he has a plan for getting the jump on Styles.
